Frequently Asked Questions
What is the source of the hyaluronic acid in ArthroFill?
The hyaluronic acid in ArthroFill is obtained through a biotechnological fermentation process based on plant sources. The starting material is natural corn, which is first converted into corn starch. This corn starch serves as a nutrient medium for special bacteria that produce hyaluronic acid during fermentation.
The result is a highly pure, vegan hyaluronic acid that is particularly close to the body's own hyaluronic acid. Thanks to its plant origin and gentle production, it can be easily metabolized by the body. The organism can use the hyaluronic acid whenever needed, for example to support joint fluid or for skin health.
This sustainable, plant-based process achieves consistently high purity, minimizing the risk of intolerances and enabling safe use. ArthroFill thus offers a hyaluronic acid naturally derived from corn starch and free of animal ingredients.
What is the molecular weight of the contained hyaluronic acid?
The hyaluronic acid contained in ArthroFill is in a size range of 800 to 2500 kDa. The abbreviation "kDa" stands for kilodalton and refers to the molecular mass of the hyaluronic acid.
This molecular weight corresponds to the hyaluronic acid naturally occurring in the human body. Studies have shown that hyaluronic acid in this size range is particularly well absorbed by the body.
Three classes often appear in connection with the size or weight specification of hyaluronic acid:
- Low molecular weight (50 kDa and smaller)
- Medium molecular weight (50 – 1500 kDa)
- High molecular weight (1500 kDa and larger)
The hyaluronic acid contained in ArthroFill is thus in the range of medium- to high-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid.
Is ArthroFill doping-free?
Yes, ArthroFill Liquid and tablets are guaranteed doping-free. ArthroFill contains no substances prohibited by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
Our commitment to clean sport: ArthroFill Liquid and tablets are regularly tested for selected doping substances by WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency).
What are the advantages of combining liquid and tablets?
When you combine ArthroFill Liquid and the tablets, you benefit from both advantages: the fastest possible absorption of hyaluronic acid and a broad range of specific nutrients.
