What is the hyaluronic acid in ArthroFill derived from?

Die Hyaluronsäure in ArthroFill wird durch einen biotechnologischen Fermentationsprozess auf pflanzlicher Basis gewonnen. Ausgangsmaterial ist naturbelassener Mais, der zunächst in Maisstärke umgewandelt wird. Diese Maisstärke dient als Nährmedium für spezielle Bakterien, die während der Fermentation Hyaluronsäure produzieren.

Das Ergebnis ist eine hochreine, vegane Hyaluronsäure, die der körpereigenen Hyaluronsäure besonders nahe kommt. Dank ihrer pflanzlichen Herkunft und der schonenden Herstellung kann sie problemlos vom Körper verstoffwechselt werden. Der Organismus kann die Hyaluronsäure im Bedarfsfall jederzeit nutzen, beispielsweise zur Unterstützung der Gelenkflüssigkeit oder für die Hautgesundheit.

What molecular weight does the contained hyaluronic acid have?

The hyaluronic acid contained in ArthroFill is in a size range of 800 to 2500 kDa. The abbreviation “kDa” stands for kilodalton and refers to the molecular weight of the hyaluronic acid.

This molecular weight corresponds to the hyaluronic acid naturally occurring in the human body. Studies have shown that hyaluronic acid in this size range is particularly well absorbed by the body.

Three classes often appear in connection with the size or weight specification of hyaluronic acid:

  • Low molecular weight (50 kDa and smaller)
  • Medium molecular weight (50 – 1500 kDa)
  • High molecular weight (1500 kDa and larger)

The hyaluronic acid contained in ArthroFill is thus in the range of medium- to high-molecular weight hyaluronic acid.

What are the advantages of combining liquid and tablets?
